To Be Strong

I have been thinking about the difference between mistakes and weakness. Here is what I think I've decided. I am not convinced I have completely learned the lesson yet so feel free to add your thoughts if you have them. Mistakes are controllable, weaknesses are overcomable. Mistakes generally are bad decisions that we are bound to make because of the gift of moral agency. We can limit the amount of mistakes we make by focusing on Christ striving to live His gospel. Weaknesses are divinely given flaws that can only become overcome through the atonement of Jesus Christ. In Ether 12:27 we learn that if we have faith, our weaknesses can be made strong. Maybe the answer to fixing both is the same. Focus on Christ. Repent. Use the Atonement of Christ. But a weakness is not something we should expect to go away in a day.
