I Can Sleep When the Wind Blows

This week wow.  🫠πŸ₯°πŸ˜‡πŸ˜πŸ€©πŸ«£πŸ˜…  A lot happened.  Last Wednesday our duo turned trio when Sister Andreoli joined us!!! Backing up a couple of weeks, our friend Yola with a crazy strong testimony told us that she read stuff on the internet and didnt want to be baptized. Thennn a week later, she callrd us up out of the blue and told us that she watched our video about the temple and all her doubts disappeared!! She is going to be baptized this Sunday!!! Sadly I won't be here because I am staying in Queluz with Sister Weed until transfers next week 😭  There have been a lot of other ups and downs these past weeks but I dont have time to write them all:( I have been thinking a lot about yhe principle of preparation this week. I listened to a BYU speech called "I can sleep when the wind blows" The gist is that if we decided to prepare now, we will be ready for the storms.  I remember when i was 14(?) Walking with Jesus

Yall  If had been writing this email on Friday all I would have to say is that some weeks are just hard.   Writing this email on Monday, I can testify that God's timing is perfect and that all things have a purpose.  I can also promise that God is perfectly aware of every one of His children.  Everyone  Isn't that crazy?  He is aware of the bus driver reading the Book of Mormon every day even though his wife doesnt approve.  He is aware of the 11 year old walking alone to church every Sunday waiting for permission from his mom to be baptized.  He is aware of the missionary sitting on the bus bench discouraged because she knows that she didnt work as hard as she could have.  He is aware of everyone🀯 So in case you forgot this week God hasn't forgotten you  Thats all for today Love you all

Come Unto Christ

When a friend tells us that he's giving up smoking, its easy to be happy for him. I know that his life and the life of his family will be blessed. It will be hard but in the end it will be worth it.  But when a single mother tells us that she is quitting her job so that she can attend church every Sunday, it is a lot harder. I don't instinctively think of the blessings or the end result. I worry for her and for her 1 year old daughter. I doubt that this is a sacrifice God really needs her to make.  With all that has happened this week, I have been focused on Christ's invitation to "Come unto me" On my wall, I have a picture of Christ drawn by my super cool and talented roommate Shandyn. I love it because Christ's hand is outstretched to the viewer. Every morning I look at that and remember Christ is asking eVeRyonE to come. We all have something to leave behind. For some it is an addiction, a job, a religion, a country. For others its a mindset, a habit, a bur...
