If you follow European news, you might have heard already that Portugal was part of a massive blackout this past Monday. So that is my excuse for not sending an email 2 weeks in a row. Though the blackout ended up being harmless, it was scary as a missionary. We were told that Portugal had been cyberattacked. We were given instructions to go to the chapel immediately and make sure that we had a supply of food and water. The markets were crowded with people stocking up on water jugs, bread and toilet paper(pois) Our phones lost service so after recieving the emergency text, we had no idea what was going on. From the talk of people on the street and the members who stopped by the church, this was the start of war. Obviously that was a little dramatic. But with all the panic and the lack of information, it felt real. Even so, we weren't that scared.
