"He cometh unto his own"
🫠Portuguese fail of the week🫠
I tried to ask the word for "burnt" in Portuguese by saying "o que é a palavra para uma bolacha que fica no inferno por muito tempo?"
Direct translation:
"What's the word for a cookie that stays in hell for a long time?"😶😶
I know God answers prayers because I have been praying for help with the language and He sent me Sister Lopes!!! She my incredible new companion and she is from Brazil! I have never met anyone more in tune with the spirit. She is so concious of her purpose her on the mission. The miracles we have seen this week are absolutely crazy!
Since I went from speaking Portuguese like half the time to speaking Portuguese aLL the time, I have been absolutely exhausted this week. But I think tired is my new favorite mission feeling. When I am so tired that its hard to speak, I can finally believe that I've given God all I could that day.
One of my favorite summaries of the life Christ is in Mosiah 3:4-11.
In honor of Christmas, I wanted to share my simple testimony of Jesus Christ:))
Jesus Christ is my Savior, my best friend and my life entire. I know that He chose to come to earth for us, that we might have a way to return to God and find joy in this life and in the eternities. I know that He loves all of us and will never leave us alone!
If you have a testimony of Jesus Christ, I invite you to share it with someone this Christmas!! If you haven't found Him yet, I invite you to keep looking because He is waiting for you.
I love you all and I hope you have the merriest of Christmases🌟🎄
