I Like to Look for Rainbows
Just kidding. Not the biggest. The biggest bestest grandest miracle was that Yola was baptized!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I got to be there!!!!
Yola's baptism this Saturday was probably the happiest day of my mission so far. I was so excited that I had a hard time falling asleep the night before. And then the actual baptism was so beautiful. A lot didnt go quite as we planned but the building was full of the Spirit. Yola was just so incredibly happy. Ahhh guys to watch her recieve the Gift of the Holy Ghost was the best thing ever. Her journey has been hard and its going to continue to be hard but now she has a covenant with God to give her extra strength and guidance!!!
That was by far the highest light of the week but some other news for ya
- i was whisked away to Queluz Thursday night and wow it is SO different than Oerias. I was definitely blessed. When we walk down the street here in Queluz, we dont say hi, don't make eye contact and we try to hide the fact that we are blonde americans. I think my mother is probably very happy that I am only staying until Wednesday!
- I am feeling more confident with my Portuguese every day!! People still have a hard time understanding me but thats okay, we'll get there!
- we get transfer news today and I am actually so scared. President and sister blackwelder have been very cryptic with me.
I have to go but real quick just want to include the words of my new favroite childrens song about baptism!
I know when I am baptized, my wrongs are washed away
And I can be forgiven and improve myself each day
Baptism is soo important but its also a doorway to more!! We have the amazing gift of being able to be better every single day. I am so grateful for my batismal covenant.
I hope you all know how much I love you and how much God loves you!!!!! You are amazing☺️🥰
Com amor,
Sis Greer
