Hump Day

Image
I've thought a lot about what ive learned these last few months. I think the lesson most precious and real to me is that God loves His children. He listens to us and He speaks to us. Not just in a metaphorical general way. He speaks to us individually in personal ways. I didnt realize that before my mission. It was always enough for me that I felt happy when I read the scriptures or I felt loved when it started raining.  But on my mission Ive developed a greater need and desire for specific, personal revelation. The last nine months have challenged me in so many different ways. Because it was so hard at times, the only choice was to cry out to God. Ive had to trust that He will guide me and qualify me to do His work. The process has humbled me and changed me. Im so happy. Im so grateful. Grateful for my God who loves me. Grateful for my Savior who strenthens me. Grateful for the restored gospel. And grateful that I get to talk about how grateful I am every single day:)  Pray t...

Poem

Helloooo  I liked this poem  ‐--------------- Father, where shall I work today?”  And my love flowed warm and free.  Then he pointed out a tiny spot  And said, “Tend that for me.”  I answered quickly, “Oh no, not that!  Why, no one would ever see, No matter how well my work was done.  Not that little place for me.”  And the word he spoke, it was not stern; …  “Art thou working for them or for me?  Nazareth was a little place,  And so was Galilee.” ‐--------------- Reading this reminded me to refocus my efforts solely on what God needs me to do. Doesnt need to be something big to make a difference!  Love you all have a good week:)  Sister Greer Ohhh also my beautiful talented insanely cool sister turned 18 this week!!!! She is my life inspiration. Happy birthday Charlotteee!

Yallllllllllll JUSTINO WAS BAPTIZED And i am SO happy  Once upon a time, he was drilling us with questions about the Bible, sitting in the corner during volleyball games and avoiding eye contact with us.  Now he has a testimony of the Book of Mormon, the restored church and ahhhh he is so happy. He is completely different. You can't tell me this gospel doesnt change people!!  Ive dont have a lot of energy to make an email but there is one phrase from the story of Helamans army that has had a lot of signficance lately.  "And we did take courage with our small force which we had received, and were fixed with a determination to conquer our enemies, and to maintain our lands, and our possessions, and our wives, and our children, and the cause of our liberty."  I love the phrase, "a determination to conquer"  Conquering looks different everyday. Determination looks different everyday. But I have found more joy in making the decision everyday that when som...
