JUSTINO WAS BAPTIZED

And i am SO happy 

Once upon a time, he was drilling us with questions about the Bible, sitting in the corner during volleyball games and avoiding eye contact with us. 

Now he has a testimony of the Book of Mormon, the restored church and ahhhh he is so happy. He is completely different. You can't tell me this gospel doesnt change people!! 

Ive dont have a lot of energy to make an email but there is one phrase from the story of Helamans army that has had a lot of signficance lately. 

"And we did take courage with our small force which we had received, and were fixed with a determination to conquer our enemies, and to maintain our lands, and our possessions, and our wives, and our children, and the cause of our liberty." 

I love the phrase, "a determination to conquer" 

Conquering looks different everyday. Determination looks different everyday. But I have found more joy in making the decision everyday that when something hard comes up, I can push through it. 
Thank goodness i dont have to do it alone. 

In the verse before Helaman says that God spoke "peace to their souls" and granted "great faith" that they might "hope for [their] deliverance in him. 

God is with us!!!! Together we can conquer!!!

  This week wow.  🫠🥰😇😭🤩🫣😅  A lot happened.  Last Wednesday our duo turned trio when Sister Andreoli joined us!!! I Want to be a Butterfly

  On the byu speech grind and I found this cute story from a talk by Wendy Watson(Nelson) "A children’s story tells of a caterpillar named Yellow who is trying to find out what she should be doing with her life. In her wanderings she discovers another caterpillar seemingly caught in some gauzy, hairy filament. Concerned, she asks if she can help. He explains that this is all part of the process of becoming a butterfly. When she hears the word butterfly, her whole insides leap. “But what is a butterfly?” she asks. The cocooned caterpillar explains: “It’s what you are meant to become.” Yellow is intrigued but a bit defiant. “How can I believe there’s a butterfly inside you or me when all I see is a fuzzy worm?” On further reflection she pensively asks, “How does one become a butterfly?” And the answer? “You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar.” The caterpillar life is appealing at times. The Peace which Passeth all Understanding

If you follow European news, you might have heard already that Portugal was part of a massive blackout this past Monday. So that is my excuse for not sending an email 2 weeks in a row.  Though the blackout ended up being harmless, it was scary as a missionary. We were told that Portugal had been cyberattacked. We were given instructions to go to the chapel immediately and make sure that we had a supply of food and water. The markets were crowded with people stocking up on water jugs, bread and toilet paper(pois) Our phones lost service so after recieving the emergency text, we had no idea what was going on. From the talk of people on the street and the members who stopped by the church, this was the start of war.  Obviously that was a little dramatic. But with all the panic and the lack of information, it felt real. Even so, we weren't that scared.
