I Want to be a Butterfly

  On the byu speech grind and I found this cute story from a talk by Wendy Watson(Nelson) "A children’s story tells of a caterpillar named Yellow who is trying to find out what she should be doing with her life. In her wanderings she discovers another caterpillar seemingly caught in some gauzy, hairy filament. Concerned, she asks if she can help. He explains that this is all part of the process of becoming a butterfly. When she hears the word butterfly, her whole insides leap. “But what is a butterfly?” she asks. The cocooned caterpillar explains: “It’s what you are meant to become.” Yellow is intrigued but a bit defiant. “How can I believe there’s a butterfly inside you or me when all I see is a fuzzy worm?” On further reflection she pensively asks, “How does one become a butterfly?” And the answer? “You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar.” The caterpillar life is appealing at times. The Real

  PORTO PORTUGAL TEMPLOOOOOOO LETS GOOOOO Conference was amazing. I didn't catch everything because my Portuguese is still mid but the spirit I felt from the speakers and the music is, as one of our new friends said, "indescribable"  Go watch it. Any talk. It's worth it.  My favorite lesson was the ideal vs the real.  Combined with all the references to the atonement of Christ, I was reminded that God is soo proud of my efforts. He knows how imperfect I am! He's known it for a while now. But that does stop Him from loving me. And to prove it, He sacrificed the thing most precious to Him. His beloved Son. His Only Begotten.  He watched Him suffer every pain, every infirmity just so that I could have a chance.  So that we all have a chance.  If you are feeling like your real is a little or lot unlike the ideal, don't give up this week. Turn to the one who felt it all. Let Him strengthen you and bear you up on His shoulders.  Out of time but here is ...

  Helloooo  I liked this poem  ‐--------------- Father, where shall I work today?”  And my love flowed warm and free.  Then he pointed out a tiny spot  And said, “Tend that for me.”  I answered quickly, “Oh no, not that!  Why, no one would ever see, No matter how well my work was done.  Not that little place for me.”  And the word he spoke, it was not stern; …  “Art thou working for them or for me?  Nazareth was a little place,  And so was Galilee.” ‐--------------- Reading this reminded me to refocus my efforts solely on what God needs me to do. Doesnt need to be something big to make a difference!  Love you all have a good week:)  Sister Greer Ohhh also my beautiful talented insanely cool sister turned 18 this week!!!!
